The Presbytery of Blackhawk held the November 9, 2021 stated meeting on Zoom. Our new Presbytery Moderator, Rev. Dr. Richard (Skip) Shaffer was installed as was Pastor Laurie Walker as Vice-Moderator for the coming year. The new presbytery year begins with new committee members also installed to their various assignments. The Assembly affirmed by vote the decision to dissolve the congregation of Galena Westminster Presbyterian Church, giving thanks for their 175 years of faithful witness to Jesus Christ.

The Visioning Task Force led the learning opportunity and with an overview of their work, an introduction to the concept of liminality and a discussion of the transitions we are facing in our lives, congregations, and communities.
