Reconciliation Committee

The Reconciliation Committee serves as the presbytery’s resource for addressing conflict and strengthening relationships within congregations.  It works to mediate differences among pastors, Sessions, and congregations, with the goal of restoring healthy relationships, supporting congregational well-being, and reflecting the unity of the body of Christ.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as an instrument of Presbytery for promoting peace and harmony in each congregation, especially in regard to matters arising out of the relations between Ministers of Word and Sacrament (MWS) and their congregations.

• Recommend, after discernment, to the Stated Clerk the establishment of an Administrative Commission of Presbytery to address issues in particular churches, with or without asserting original jurisdiction.

• To help facilitate church officer development, as needed.
