The Committee’s mission includes being the eyes and ears of the presbytery by identifying ways the presbytery can support its congregations.  It seeks to strengthen two-way communication and encourage the sharing of ministry ideas among congregations-fostering strong relationships between the presbytery and its churches and serving as a first point of contact for pastors and congregations to share questions, concerns, and celebrations.  When specialized support is needed the Committee will communicate those needs to the appropriate committee of the Committee on Ministry (COM).   

The Committee’s work could include:

• Organizing congregations into geographic areas or clusters to enhance communication and connection

• Assigning each committee member a group of congregations for ongoing liaison and support 

• Reporting items of interest and recommended actions to the COM through the Committee Moderator

• Encouraging and facilitating the sharing of good news stories, ministry ideas, and best practices among congregations and across the presbytery
